Maria Hunt, Ph.D., earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Organizational Development from Louisiana State University in 1980. She worked as a psychotherapist at the Yolo County Mental Health Clinic in California before establishing her private practice of 14-years in Sacramento. Professor Hunt began teaching in 1996 at Lower Brule Community College, eventually moving to Dakota Wesleyan University where she was appointed chairperson of the Psychology Department. In 2000, she served at Avila University as professor, Department of Psychology chairperson, Dean of the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and finally, Director of Avila University’s Mindfulness Program. Dr. Hunt currently lives and works in Nederland, Colorado, headquarters of Me We Mindfulness.
Robin Todd, M.S., received her B.A. in Psychology and certification in education, from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. In 1990 she began her career as an educator, working with children and adults in a variety of settings. As a graduate student, Robin spent two years in Dr. Maria Hunt’s Mindfulness Research Lab mastering a curriculum that embodies positive psychology and neuroscience. After receiving her M.S. in Psychology from Avila University she completed her certification as a Me We Mindfulness Instructor and launched Mindful Momentum to empower people through this unique curriculum.
